A rich chocolate smoothie loaded with protein, anti-oxidants and fiber, it’s a fantastic alternative to coffee first thing in the morning or to recover after a hard workout. Double this recipe as necessary.
- 1 cup Hemp Milk (see Tips, below)
- 1 banana
- 3 tbsp Natera™ Dark Chocolate Hemp Protein
- 2 pitted chopped dates
- 2 tbsp coconut nectar or shredded coconut, optional (see Tips, below)
1. In a blender, combine hemp milk, banana, hemp protein, dates and coconut nectar and/or shredded coconut, if desired. Blend at highest speed until smooth. Serve immediately.
To make the hemp milk for this recipe, in a blender combine 3 tbsp of Natera Hemp Seeds with 4 cups filtered water. Blend at high speed until smooth. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for up to 4 days.
If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, add in coconut nectar.
